"Ute" / Framed Photograph by W.M. Pennington

HISTORIC PHOTOS BY W.M. PENNINGTON

Santa Fe Crafts has acquired a unique selection of original William Marion Pennington photos. Pennington (1874-1940) was a fine regional photographer who worked throughout the American Southwest from the early 1900s to the mid 1930s. He excelled at portraiture, creating beautiful images of the native peoples he encountered. This rare collection consists mainly of silver gelatin prints, some in original frames, including a few hand-tinted examples. We also have a variety of unframed images in several sizes. Please see our Pennington page for a selection of current offerings, or give us a call to see the complete collection in our gallery by appointment.

EDRIE MCMEEKIN JEWELRY COLLECTION

Edrie McMeekin had a passion for Native American jewelry. As a collector, she did not discriminate between rising artists and established stars. For Edrie, it was all about the individual piece, and she selected for design, color, soul, drama and humor. Earrings, bracelets, belts, and necklaces — she collected them all throughout the 25 years that we knew her, and wore them with great joy and panache, right up to her passing in late 2015. Now her collection is available to you to make your own history. We have added several of Edrie's pieces to our jewelry categories and have many more in our gallery. We will periodically add new pieces to this website for your consideration.
