Rare and historic this twined, lidded basket measues 5.5" H x 5.25" Diameter (at its widest point). Design motifs include whalers with whale and gorgeous eagle. The lid has a green whirl motif. Good condition relative to its age.

This is a charming Tohono O'odham Olla Maiden made by Della Cruz from Bobcat Mountain Village, Arizona. The figure measures 13.5" H. It was probably made in the 1970s and stands alone as an example of Native American basketry folk art.
