PUEBLO POTTERY

Pueblo pottery evolved from basket making and is still handmade using the same methods that have been practiced for the past 2,000 years. Pueblo potters traditionally gather and prepare their own clay, typically using the coil technique to shape their forms. The slips, colors, and brushes used to decorate these pots are usually made from handmade mineral paints and plants, such as wild spinach (black). Please enjoy these pots as decorative pieces and do not put water in them.
